About the topic "Intercultural Competences"

For several decades, the interconnectedness of the world has increased sharply. Beginning with economic globalization in the 20th century, the digital transformation has further intensified global exchange. New means of communication and digital media, as well as increased mobility, have meant that there is hardly a profession in which one does not come into contact with people from other countries and cultures. 

While many people enjoy these new opportunities, there are also people who find them difficult. Unfamiliar traditions and communicating in a foreign language can make it hard to build trust. For children, such situations are much easier.  They find ways to communicate, even if they don't speak the same language, and they aren't hindered by prejudice. Maintaining this openness is the most important tasks for adults.
