  • Technology is Everywhere

    Technology dominates our lives and the world around us. Of course, technology does not completely determine our lives, but it does influence important aspects of our daily lives: new ways of communicating, sharing things, digital identity, seeking and offering help, feeling safe, etc. Technology enables us to build relationships with our friends, family and friends and other communities in new ways. We become citizens of the digital world. The basis for this is knowledge of technologies and basic technological skills.

  Technology is Everywhere

  • Of course, technology does not completely determine our lives, but it does influence important aspects of our daily lives: new ways of communicating, sharing things, digital identity, seeking and offering help, feeling safe, etc. Technology enables us to build relationships with our friends, family and friends and other communities in new ways. We become citizens of the digital world. The basis for this is knowledge of technologies and basic technological skills. In this chapter, we would like to introduce you to these skills, show you how they came into being and explain what purpose they serve and where their limitations lie.

  Connecting People via the Internet

  • The Internet is the connection of network nodes. The purpose of the Internet was originally to allow the exchange of information between computers from different universities. In computer terminology, these are called nodes, which can be either computers or other devices that can be connected to the Internet, such as satellites or other networked devices. The Internet connects people for a variety of purposes: sharing information, creating or collaborating. But first, we should be able to connect our devices to the Internet.

  Digital Technologies

  • We do not need to speculate about the technological possibilities of the future, because the future is already here. Already today, innovative technologies are creating new possibilities for the distribution of information and creating new global structures that influence the economy, personal relationships, privacy and knowledge.
